on another note, she finished her "school" and ballet. she had such a fun year, and has really grown-up. while i'd love to have her with me this fall, she is definitely ready for preschool. i'm pretty sure she'll be the girl that walks in, turns around and waves, and doesn't even give it a second thought as i walk out the door!
daley also had a blast on our trip to nyc. she was mesmerized by the all the sounds, tall buildings, lights...i can totally see her there one day. she's just the type of girl who would thrive in nyc...see comment above about no one stepping on her toes! her favorite part was taking a taxi...she didn't want to get out!
we start swim class next week, and i'm hoping that this helps daley to become a bit more comfortable in the water. she's a bit nervous when it comes to getting her head wet and putting her whole body under water. funny for a girl who doesn't need help with anything;)

Kristin, you look beautiful! Daley is the spitting image of you. Yes, I suspect that Daley's confidence will take her far! She is a little cutie-pie!

ReplyDeleteYou are my Daley Doodles who likes oodles & poodles and noodles, my Daley doodles you like to doodle & eat noodles and draw cloodles.etc... Every night that I put you to bed I have to sing the noodle song. I am not sure how it got started, but I think it was one night that you asked me to make up a song and I started with your nick name doodles and then we started to rhyme different words with it. The song isn't the same every time we sing it, and sometimes it's longer than others, but you want me to sing it and make it longer too. I am sure it's your ploy to extend the bedtime routine. But it is fun and you enjoy it so we do it.
You too have been staying with us this spring and summer and it has been great fun. You are the sweetest little girl and you have the best manners. It makes my heart sing.
You love to play,color, cook with Apa.
You will do very well in school because you like to make sure things are in their place and everything needs to be done the same way without deviation. You have an amazing memory and you can give specific directions it is so cute to watch you tell us how your mom does it. Yesterday I took you to the bathroom and you showed me how mom taught you to go with your bathing suit on. I said I didn't know how and you explained that you would show me and you told me "MiMi don't worry I know you can do it"
You are kind and always think of your brothers when you are getting something.
You like to check on Finn and talk to him or help get diapers or anything else he needs.
You are doing great with your swimming
This time while you are staying with us you brought your "Back up" Lovee and told me I could sleep with her, when I asked if I could use Lovee you told me that I could use Back up Lovee and I just wanted to LOL because you were so serious and even when your Lovee needs a bath you don't want to let her go.
Tonight you were so happy because we were having your favorite dinner spaghetti and meatballs, you and Jack had a heated discussion on how to say spaghetti and you each said the other was saying it incorrectly. I wasn't there but Apa and your mom had a great chuckle and I only wished they were able to tape it because it was pretty funny. I think you pronounce it skagetti and Jack calls it pasgettis.
I love spending time with you. Your kindness, caring, loving and spirited nature are such a joy to behold.
You are spontaneous with you joy, love and when you get your feathers ruffled watch out, you can dig your heels in and be relentless when you want something. You are so much like your mother and sometimes I feel like I am looking at her and reliving some of the same challenges.
You are so cute when you talk about Miss LuAnne your teacher and about ballet and when you are a big girl( 4y/o) you can be a tap girl ( tap dance ).
We love to watch you and Jack have a dance party and you put on a "Just Like a Rock Star" show and sing at the top of your lungs "Just like a rock star' It is hilarious...You have an unbelievable imagination and it is a joy to watch and listen when you play.
I also love to hear you sing. Sometimes you sing all day.
The best part of my day is when you say "MiMi I just love you" my heart is overfilled with joy and happiness. You, Jack and Finn are such a blessing to our family. Your uncles enjoy every minute they have with you and they are equally interested and excited to see and hear all you do.
Your mom and dad are doing an awesome job and we love you soooo much.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring. I am looking forward to going to the beach and doing all of our favorite things. Now that you are such a big girl we will be able to take long walks in the morning to see the dolphins and look for starfish and sand dollars.
