i've always envisioned having a little girl. when i was pregnant with daley, i was so sure it was another boy, so i never really gave myself the chance to imagine that on december 28th i would in fact become the mom of a little girl! it was the best surprise and made me realize that there are now 3 generations of women on my side of the family! i never had the opportunity to grow up with grandparents so knowing that my children are getting this opportunity is especially bittersweet on mother's day.

despite daley being sick, we managed to get one fairly decent picture.
