who needs sleep...

when there is so much going on in the world?! apparently this is daley's newest motto, because 2 out of the last 3 days she literally has been up with the birds. i'll hear her babbling from her crib, and i know there is no way she is going back to bed. 5 am wouldn't be so bad if she also wasn't still waking 2-3x/night?!

i will say she is finally feeling better. we finally determined that they contracted a strain of the coxsackie virus. man, i hope they never get that again. she still has a hoarse voice, and per the pedi should be on "voice rest." um, asking her to be quiet really isn't working for me!

i wish i could post pics, but i need to back up my computer as we're dangerously close to crashing. therefore, i can't download anything at the moment:(

i've always envisioned having a little girl. when i was pregnant with daley, i was so sure it was another boy, so i never really gave myself the chance to imagine that on december 28th i would in fact become the mom of a little girl! it was the best surprise and made me realize that there are now 3 generations of women on my side of the family! i never had the opportunity to grow up with grandparents so knowing that my children are getting this opportunity is especially bittersweet on mother's day.

ugh, i hate when they get sick. both daley and jack caught some sort of virus. i assume they caught something on our trip to the natural history museum, because it was the only place we went all weekend!? ugh...it just figures we try to do something fun and wouldn't ya know they get sick:(

on a happier note...i took some pictures of daley, and i am amazed each time with how big she is getting!
