animals!

daley loves, loves, loves animals. she will go right up to them and talk to them, and her conversations with them are so funny. she expects said animal to respond and listen to her demands-lol. case in point, this video was taken when she went to the farm to help greg feed the chickens...she cracks me up!

blossoming imagination...

daley has had such an imagination from a very young age. she showed interest in pretend play much sooner than jack did, and i honestly think she facilitated jack's development in this area. so while we can often be found "going" to the beach, "marching" in the band, or wearing our capes, there almost always seems to be an accessory that accompanies us in our excursions!

this morning while i was cleaning (friday is the big cleaning day around here, in case anyone cares-lol!?), i heard them playing so nicely in jack's room. i quickly ran to grab my camera in hopes that i wouldn't "miss" the moment, because more often than not i do miss it. there they were building together so nicely, all the while wearing their "building" hats:) it is moments like these that i know i will miss when they grow up and i don't get to have them around as much.

daley also got her hair cut this past weekend. i was a bit hesitant to do it, but she needed some help evening things out. it has totally grown on me, and i think it looks pretty cute!

as you can see, along with wearing hats, mittens were also necessary for this building project!

even though i love the hair cut, i do think it makes her look so grown-up...
