9 month well check & happy 10 months!

eek...time is really flying, and poor daley is not getting nearly the frequency of posts that jack did. she went in for her 9 month well check and did great! she's in the 50% for height/weight, and surprisingly in the 25% for head circumference. developmentally she is doing perfect. we have to keep and eye on her right foot as it turns outward when she's standing, but it should correct itself naturally as she begins to stand more frequently.

she is eating just about anything you put in front of her these days, and really enjoys it! some of her favorites at the moment are; cheese, mini crackers, beans, avocado, turkey, peas, pear, potatoes, carrots, hummus, yogurt, french toast, pancakes, waffles...the list goes on!

her personality seems to shine through more and more each day, and little miss serious is finding things more comical each day as she now actually giggles at things! it isn't all giggles with her however, she does have quite the temper coupled with a flare for the dramatic. i know i'm in for it with her:)

she got another bottom tooth this week, but her top teeth have yet to break through and she is a bit miserable because of it. i'm hoping this is the cause for her recent sleep regression.

finally, the best milestone of all in my book...hearing her say mama:) at first there was no attachment to it, but she now crawls up to me saying ma, ma, ma...love it!

crawling, da da, and quite the temper...

i have been meaning to report that on the eve of her nine month birthday, daley decided that she was far too mature to army crawl anymore and now officially crawls on all fours! i'm not sure what took her so long, but it was like a switch went off for her and all of a sudden the whole thing clicked!

following her crawling skills have been her recent babbling and mimicking...she has been ba, ba, ba'ing for quite a while now, but out of no where this week the "da, da's" have begun...she is so funny when she's doing it--the face she makes is priceless! she also goes back and forth with you mimicking sounds. needless to say our house just got a bit noisier--if that was even possible!?

now let me discuss this little one's temper as of late...holy moly, i never experienced this with jack. for all the things jack put me through, he never actually yelled at me in anger/frustration!? she gets so mad these days...not only does she yell, but she stiffens her legs and rears back. i knew from the get-go that she was going to be more temperamental than jack, but i'm not sure we're equipped for this!

making a beeline for the bathroom. ironically, she's obsessed with jack's potty. if only big brother was equally obsessed!?

clearly there is not enough room in here for the two of us!
