happy 8 months!!

it is so bittersweet. daley is becoming her own person, and her personality is certainly not lacking! she seems to be a bit feisty, has a temper, but loves to give kisses-a lethal combo;)

on another note, i don't remember jack being quite as interested in our food the way she is, but she seems to be "over" purees! she practically lunges at jack's food, so we're starting to move onto more finger foods--kinda tricky since she still only has 2 teeth!

daley is also moving all over the place, but while she has been rocking on all fours for over 3 months, she is still only army crawling. i can tell her next milestone will be pulling up because she is all about standing while holding onto your hands or her leap frog table.

happy eight months to my smiley, determined, precocious little girl...i can't wait to see what this next month brings. i love you!

so while jack ran around and played "ball," daley and i hung out and ate some grass! just kidding, i spent most of my time prying grass out of her hands/mouth and all the while i just wanted to get some nice pictures of her-lol?! these were the best of the bunch...

as you can see she really doesn't quite grasp smiling;)

i have been waiting for this pretty much since she was born! she looks so cute:)

and i just liked this one because she was so in awe of herself when she "opened" the door...

milestone:)

daley has been sitting up for a while now, and ironically been able to get herself into a sitting position inadvertently, but it wasn't until yesterday that she could do it intentionally. with all milestones comes the lovely need to do it over and over and over again!? as i type she is in her crib rolling around, then sitting, then playing with her soother and sitting up all over again! i forgot that she still has to learn how to intentionally lay back down again, and thus have gone in to "help" her. please let her figure it out soon:)

she has also become a very good eater. she has the pincer grasp down and loves to self-feed cheerios. she is also eager to get her hands on whatever it is we're eating so i think we'll move onto table foods sooner than i expected. here she is below enjoying the end of a baguette...she devours it!
